Curriculum

 

Postgraduate degree in Painting from the Royal College of Art in London, United Kingdom and Bachelor’s degree from the National School of Painting, Sculpture, and Printmaking ‘La Esmeralda’ from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico City. Christian Camacho’s work has been exhibited individually and collectively in Mexico, Europe, the United States, South America and the Caribbean in projects and institutions such as Museo Experimental El Eco (Mx), Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil (Mx), as well as the Royal College of Art and Imperial College in London (UK), Palais de Tokio (Fr), Phoenix Art Museum (USA) and Jumex Museum (Mx).

Camacho has also been a fellow of both: Fondo Nacional para la Cultura and Jumex Contemporary Art Foundation, where he designed public and educational programs between 2014 and 2018. As part of his practice, the artist has also developed multiple formation initiatives such as seminars, workshops and readings in collaboration with institutions and groups such as Museo Jumex, Museo Tamayo de Arte Contemporáneo, Instituto Alumnos, the International Symposium on Contemporary Art Theory (PAC-SITAC), ESPAC, Obrera Centro and Bikini Wax EPS, among others in Mexico.

Christian Camacho currently lives and works in Monterrey, Mexico.
