ALEJANDRO PINTADO
Mexico, 1973
He studied his bachelors in Fine Art at La Escuela Nacional de Pintura Escultura y Grabado la Esmeralda in Mexico city and his Masters in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, London UK. He has been awarded nationally and internationally such as the Centenario Award at the Art fair MACO Mexico city (2012), Sistema Nacional de Creadores grant, Fonca, Mexico (2010/2013) and the Bancomer BBVA grant (2012) Pollock Krasner, fellowship (2007), New York, the special prize Arte Laguna in Venice, Italy (2010). In 2014 he was awarded with the first prize of the Bienal Miradas, curated by Jose Manuel Springer in Tijuana, Mexico.
His work has been shown in numerous exhibitions in both the Americas and Europe. In 2011 he was invited by the curator Pablo León de la Barra to participate in Art Projects Pinta Art fair in London.
He recently published his book Path of Knowledge which was presented in Mexico City, Washington DC, New York, Copenhaguen and London.
