José Luis Landet’s work manifests itself as a meeting point in which various modes of operation and assimilation of cultural processes crossed by social, political and ideological actions take place. Returning to everyday images such as paintings, photographs, letters, postcards, super 8 films, slides, texts, magazines and books loaded with memory, time and use, Landet constructs new material and conceptual objects based on a determined analysis, registration and classification. Filing, cutting, breaking, covering, falsifying, immersing, fragmenting, simulating, taking out of the shadows and putting their own are transformed for the artist into poetic actions.

Landet was born on September 30, 1977 in Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires. He undertook a degree in Plastic Arts at ENPEG La Esmeralda in Mexico City (2000-2005). She has exhibited in various national and international spaces, highlighting cities such as New York, Lima, Buenos Aires, Miami, London, Torino, France, Switzerland, Madrid, Sou Paulo and Mexico City. He has been recipient of various scholarships such as the FONCA Young Creators (2007-2008), CIA Center for Artistic Research, Argentina 2010, FNA National Fund for the Arts, Argentina 2013, currently FONCA National System Creators of Art, (2014-2016) (2018-2020), Mexico City. In 2009 he did a residency at “La Curtiduría”, TAGA Taller de Grafica Actual, Oaxaca Mexico. In 2010 he did a residency at the Revolver gallery, Lima Peru. Flora / Honda Residence, Bogotá Colombia 2016.
