JAIME RUIZ OTIS
Mexico, 1976
He studied Art in Tijuana between 1997 and 2004 in disciplines such as engraving, painting, printmaking, sculpture and installation with renowned artists of the Mexican art scene (Jan Hendrix, Luis Lopez Loza and Karla Rippey). He got an artist residency (FONCA-Conacyt) in Beijing, 2012. Ruiz has got three times the Young Artists schoolarship, FONCA, Mexico, and got the 2nd place in the First Biennial of Contemporary Mexican Prints in 2009. He won the 1st place in the XVI Bienal de Baja California, 2007. Part of his work belong to The Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) and to the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, California.
