Luis Canseco is an interdisciplinary artist who is part of the National System of Creators for the period 2023-2025. Canseco extensively explores graphite as raw material in his work, seeking various modes of translation through drawing, expanded graphics, sculpture, installation, and painting, offering a technically complex and subtle material-spatial proposal. Among his recent projects, Canseco participated in ZONA MACO 2022 and was simultaneously invited to the inaugural artists' residency at the MUI (Interactive Urban Museum of Tec de Monterrey). He has been selected for the Young Creators program of FONCA in the drawing category for the year 2017-2018 and graphics for the year 2019-2020. Additionally, he has been part of the ACME No.7 and No.8 Salon in Mexico City.
